Come ride with America's favorite outlaw - Billy the Kid. The callow desperado who killed 21 men (one for each year of his life?), robbed and rustled and murdered - while always laughing. Or the lad who "sang with a beautiful Irish tenor" in Sunday School, organized and staged a musical show at the age of 12, danced with the senoritas at fandangos and was always helpful to - and welcomed by - the native New Mexicans. Ralph Estes was Billy's best friend, rode with him, sang with him, fought with him. In this music, Ralph sings and tells of the real Billy, not the fiction created by the man who shot him. All music performed in this presentation is in the public domain (written/published before 1923) or was written/published by the performer.

Register Here for the Red Dirt Fun Run! Round up your family and friends and join us for the Red Dirt Fun Run! Our Western-inspired 5k invites participants of all ages to dress up in their finest cowboy and cowgirl attire. Whether you're trotting along with stick pony or racing in a rodeo queen costume, we promise a morning full of fun, music, and community spirit. We will also have the foam machine on site for pre and post run fun!
Participants will receive a free T-Shirt, a breakfast burrito from Lucky Duck Grill, and entrance into the Red Dirt Black Gold Music Festival.
